So. Gayhamptonroads.com is back.
The site first launched in 2015 with a simple idea: make it easier to find LGBTQ+ spaces and resources in the 757. A list of bars, a few organizations, some commentary. Then life happened and the site went quiet for a while.
This is the restart. New design, same spirit.
A lot has changed since 2015. Venues have opened and closed. Organizations have grown. Pride has gotten bigger, louder, and — depending on the year — a lot more complicated. Hampton Roads has changed too. But the need for a simple, honest guide to queer life in this area hasn't.
So here's what this is: a guide to LGBTQ+ entertainment and nightlife across the 757, resources and organizations (local, statewide, national), and eventually an events calendar, photo galleries, and more writing like this. It's a one-person project. It's not a business. Listings are free.
Things are still being built — you'll notice a few pages are still on the way. They're coming. If something's wrong, missing, or you want to add a venue or resource, the submissions page is there.
Good to be back.
