Gayhamptonroads.com started in 2015 as a personal side project — a simple guide to LGBTQ+ bars, resources, and community life in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Life got busy, the project went on hiatus, and here we are again.
It's back now. Same idea, better execution. This is a guide to queer life in the 757: the bars, the organizations, the events, and whatever else seems worth knowing about. A little commentary, some news, and whatever it becomes along the way.
This isn't a business. There's no team, no office, no agency behind it. Just one person's effort to make Hampton Roads LGBTQ+ life a little easier to navigate — for longtime locals, people who just moved here, and visitors alike.
